Who Can Take The TOEFL Test ?

There are no limits on who can take the TOEFL. Students living in non- English speaking countries who want to study abroad in an English-speaking university will take this test.

Which institutions need TOEFL? : The official TOEFL website says more than 7,000 universities and colleges require this test to be considered as part of their admission requirements for students who want to attend an English-speaking institution.

Testing Formats and Dates : The TOEFL is administered in two formats: Internet - based (TOEFL IBT) or on paper (TOEFL PBT). The TOEFL IBT applied during 30 to 40 pre- scheduled dates each year, while only six pre- planned dates when administered TOEFL PBT.


Test Fee: The cost of taking TOEFL ranges from $ 150 to $ 225 by 2009. This is a one-time fee for each test, and pricing based on spot tests. Students can register for the TOEFL online or via email.

Test Training : The site provides summary TOEFL test practice tests and tips on testing to facilitate students prepare for and do everything possible.

Retakes: Students have the chance to return to the TOEFL as many times as required. TOEFL scores remain valid for two years from the date of the test.
