Ready For the TOEFL Test ?

During the years of the TOEFL test is the standard for measuring proficiency in English as a second language. The term TOEFL stands for Test of English as a foreign language. Thousands of universities in the United States and Canada require foreign students to present the results of TOEFL, as part of their application process. The reasons for this are quite clear; universities want to make sure that the foreign student is capable of handling the necessary courses to graduate. Every year more than one million students around the world to take the test online. TOEFL test has four parts; reading, listening, speaking, and writing. The total time required to complete the examination is usually from 3.5 to 4 hours. Each part has a value of thirty points so that the total maximum would be 120 points. So what are dozens of universities looking for? Points out that most universities are looking in the range of 65 to 100. Should be well prepared before taking the exam.

So what can you do to prepare for the test TOEFL? Well, there are many publishers who have instruction and practice books. There are many other books that cover the TOEFL test and you should be able to find one that meets your needs. I like to turn our attention to the listening part of the test. Many of my students tell me that listening to a dialogue between two people of the CD is quite challenging. My students tell me that they feel the speakers talk too fast to be understood. This obstacle can be overcome by listening again and again to the same conversation until you have mastered it. You need to train your mind to get used to the speed of conversation in the mother tongue of English. You will need to put in many hours of research on a weekly basis to be able to cover all sections of the test TOEFL.

So, how else can you prepare for the exam TOEFL, other than using a textbook? A fun way to practice your listening skills is to go down to your local video store and rent a movie. There are many advantages to this idea, for example, you can pause and rewind the segments of the film, I do not understand clearly. Why not start a film club? You can invite all your friends who are also planning to take the test TOEFL. This is a fun way to get your friends together and have a discussion about the film.

Common Mistakes in TOEFL Speaking

No material how good one is communicate in English, there are still difficulties in which one feels self-conscious in the use of English in communication. For Filipinos, English was used in everyday conversations common. This was no problem in speaking English whether in an academic or business environment. Even with the fact that Filipinos are now more comfortable with the use of language such as English competency assessment especially in talking about TOEFL or Test of English as a foreign language requires a lot of training and experience. Filipinos nowadays want to study with teachers and teachers in centers for TOEFL examination by study alone. This is the reason that the TOEFL examination centers offer suggestions and advice for these individuals to do well, especially in the speaking exam TOEFL.

Applicants decide to work with coaches in the review center TOEFL, to respond successfully in the evaluation. Without the proper coaching in TOEFL, TOEFL these candidates will have a hard time understanding the test and as a result speaks commit errors when answering the questions. What are these common mistakes?

First, people need to know that there are two different types of tasks in the field of speech. Independent issues are the first part. In an independent question, the person is given a question where he or she will have to agree or disagree, choose from decisions or summarize something. With a time limit to speak for 45 seconds one has to make the decision that is strong and effective. Most candidates fail to get a good rating on this given that they talk too long. They describe too many answers. Another mistake candidates usually make is that they do not develop a strong factor behind their ideas. This is because they can not provide illustrations in support of his own thoughts. Another reason is that some prospects do not fully understand what the question asks. Instead of giving belief, some agree on the statement. This may lead to a lower rating when the assessors evaluate response.

Included tasks are questions that are based on reading and listening song. Some hope to find work, it is somewhat difficult most significant when they are not familiar with the issues emerged. Since this is an integrated question, the answer should be based only on facts from the reading or lecture. The problem with some projects is that they also make their own impression in their response that really did not want. Evaluators assess response according to how well the person admitted reading and lecture. In addition, a typical error perspectives make is that they can not take down the most essential characteristics of the materials that make their responses insufficient.

The advantage of these places TOEFL review is instructed they hope to work out how to lose these common mistakes and prepare them on how to respond to the tasks properly.
